Resume:

I am an exceptionally motivated individual seeking continued employment in Industrial Safety bringing to the table more than 25 years of experience in a wide variety of industry including Power Generation, Oil and Gas Production, Processing and Refining, Pulp/Paper, and Telecommunications.

For the past nearly5 years I have been assigned as the Safety and Security Manager for New Horizons Telecom Inc. located in Palmer, Alaska. This assignment requires that I maintain a Top-Secret Clearance in order to support highly classified government projects.

My most recent power generation experience includes a two plus year assignment as the GE/Granite Regional safety Manager for the Mid-West and North West region of the United States and over 500,000 man-hours on GE projects without a First Aid, OSHA Record-able, or Lost Time Accident.

In the role of safety manager for GE/Granite I was responsible for all aspects of power generation including outages, new construction, Wind Turbine Power Generation, Gas and Steam Turbines, and accident investigation across the industry.

As a 14-year employee of Jacobs Engineering and using the established safety programs of Jacobs Engineering and Construction, I departed their company for Military Service without a lost time accident and very few “record-able” incidents.

My projects with Jacobs Engineering often exceeded 1,000,000-man hours worked, and included projects of National interest and security such as the Spallation Neutron Source project at the National Laboratory Oak Ridge TN, clean room technology projects for the pharmaceutical industry, and advanced “wind tunnel” test sites for the automotive industry.

During my career as a Safety Professional, I have been heavily involved with establishing training programs for such groups as the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company including Confined Space Entry and Atmospheric Monitoring, as well as being a major contributor in establishing the Ship Escort and Response Vessel System following the Exxon Oil Spill in the Prince William Sound.

Overseas experience includes Merck Pharmaceuticals in Madrid Spain completing over 600,000-man hours with zero accidents or injury.

This project was truly multinational with Engineering, Supervision, and Craft from the European Union, Africa, the Middle East and the United States.

I am known to have hands on, proactive approach to safety spending as much time as possible “in the field” where the work is actually being performed. Always making a point to recognize and greet every employee possible to demonstrate a “we care about your safety” attitude.

I am well liked, well respected and in demand as a Safety Professional known for establishing new projects with a goal to succeed safely and troubleshooting sites with poor safety performance.

Noteworthy Accomplishments:

In my career as a safety Professional I have developed, or been involved in the development of many of the safety process and procedures in use today

These procedures include;

Confined space procedures used by Alyeska Pipeline Service Company,

Ship Escort and Response Systems Safety procedures for the Alyeska Pipeline Terminal

Safety Observation Report and record keeping system for Jacobs Engineering Group

Safety Recognition and rewards policy for Jacobs Engineering

Hand and Arm Safety and Glove Policy for Jacobs Engineering and Granite Manpower

Representative Experience as follows:
