In charge of (40) Spanish and Portuguese talent (14 of which I directly recruited), who broadcast events and news, and information to Latin America. Duties included scheduling talent, auditioning, and hiring new talent. Involved in contract negotiation. Incorporated quality control in critiquing of talent for betterment of broadcast, involved from talent and production side with domestic Spanish developments of ESPN. Oversaw and maintained freelance, part-time, and guest talent budgets as it pertains to usages. Have worked closely with Coordinating Producers of International and the management team of production, promotions and operations in future development, marketing, and growth of the international division i.e. ESPN Deportes, radio initiatives into Mexico/Venezuela, new program development and up-front sales presentations. Worked as needed with our affiliates in South America, primarily Argentina in coordinating specifics on the language side for co-productions. Worked with the Human Resource Department as another source in the recruitment efforts for international talent (attending fairs as a representative).

Troubleshot as needed on various other areas such as terminology development, and facilitator on other productions such as Sportscenter International.

One of the original producer/coordinators for the Multi-Lingual Service Department of ESPN. Assisted in the coordination, preparation, and production of adding Spanish language to existing programs on ESPN. Contacted program producers and acquired research materials. Coordinated NBA productions. Distributed materials, discussed strategies with the talent, including script development and translation of terms, and assisted scheduling and coordinating specific needs of talent, i.e. hotel, transportation etc.

Documentary and Special Projects Producer. Produced public service announcements. Wrote, conceived, and conducted all pre and post-production on all public affairs programs. As a Department Head, I managed all aspects of the department, which included: developing weekly public affairs show “Connecticut Beat”, producing timely quarterly documentaries and hiring talent. Worked on the legal aspects of the station closely with General Manager. Wrote and prepared quarterly reports. Served as community liaison.
