Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

As an Administrative Assistant I worked to support various office personnel to include the VP Assistant, Accounting, and Human Resources. I ran the front desk, operated a 45+ extension switchboard, greeted guests, and performed data entry. It was my responsibility to make travel arrangements, plan and reserve space for company meetings, make food arrangements/ catering, and maintain office supplies. This position involved work for a 6 doctor practice. Initially, I was employed as a receptionist but was quickly noticed for my excellent customer service skills and my easy ability to genuinely connect with the patients. I was promoted very soon after being hired. I continued answering phones as backup but began running the front desk; greeting all guests; making outside sales calls; efficiently scheduling both old and new clients; verifying Insurance and obtaining EOB to review with patients; reviewing billing and payment history with patients; collecting payments; making deposits; rooming patients; obtaining demographic information; patient education; x-rays; and discussing treatment plans, recommendations, and options all became my responsibilities. I loved and thrived in this patient-focused provider office.
