• Developed the Allstate Benefits (formally American Heritage Life) subsidiary revenue and expense budgets from scratch. The company ($3.6B in assets) did not have a formal, trackable budget or strategic plan. Putting this zero- based budget in place identified pain points and growth opportunities aligning with the company’s long and short- term goals.

• Responsible for $4M+ in annual expense savings while incenting sales teams, through compensation package design, to sell products that had the highest profit margin for Allstate Insurance Company.

• Designed and implemented an entire financial tracking system for technology projects resulting in full transparency of $62M in technology spend for Allstate Insurance Company. This resulted in changes in project priority and the adjustment of investments toward higher-value projects and away from underperforming ones.

• Developed a high-performing finance team that actively worked to add measurable profitability to the company through process changes, expense savings, and revenue-generating ideas.

• Established true trust-based relationships with fellow senior leaders and their respective teams where the finance department was viewed as a source of knowledge and support rather than a punitive body. • Responsible for consolidation coordination between the parent and subsidiary companies for Detection Systems.
