RESPONSIBILITIES:

At Penn Highlands Elk: On a daily basis I would interact with Physicians, nurses, co-workers, and the general public. My job consist of knowing and working around in the Cerner System as well as getting other patient information, orders, from the Athena System. I analyze charts at Penn Highlands Elk for the out-patient, inpatient, and clinical medical records to assign any electronic and/or paper deficiencies to the physicians, nurses or other staff asking for completion of the patient’s record when needed. I also, answer phone calls from patients, employees either within or other outside facilities to release patient information.

When needed, I travel within the Penn Highlands Hospitals to train other employee’s on the electronic Cerner System.

I also used to take care of the phone calls, and emails for the my eHealth Patient Portal for PH Elk which involved setting patients up with their portal to view their own health records.

At KRHC: I also worked with Physicians, nurses, and co-workers and the general public on a daily basis . My job consists of scheduling patients for appointments, checking patients in when they arrived and out, answering and transferring phone calls, entering phone notes in patients charts, check patient information and insurances, complete incoming faxes in EZFax and outgoing faxes, receiving patient co-payments/payments,

ACTIVITIES:

I am 1 of 3 people that started a Scleroderma 5K for our family members. All of the proceeds go towards the family member’s physician Dr. Torok, who has a research study at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. In my spare time, I enjoy spending it with my family, and friends, either just hanging out doing nothing, having cookouts, camping, kayaking, relaxing by a fire, hiking in the woods or doing crafts by myself. I also volunteer every Monday to help maintain Twin Lakes Recreation Area of Wilcox with the group of Friends of Twin Lakes, which allows the place to stay open for everyone to enjoy. I am a very proud mother of 2 wonderful young adult children, a grandmother of 1, and a proud Eagle Scout Mom.
