After graduating from UMASS Amherst I took on a job with non-profit CET. I spent my first year as an Americore Vista working at the Restore Home Improvement Center in Springfield MA. The Restore Home improvements mission was to keep building materials out of landfills, make materials more affordable. and create local jobs. After a year of service I was hired on full time. At first I was in retail helping customers and donors with sales and donations of building materials. After six years I joined our newly developed deconstruction crew. While on that crew we dismantled and recycled whole houses and did many soft strips. We quickly outgrew our current location and moved into a much larger building. I helped with the setup of the new building moving in 2012. Our deconstruction days came to a close and I took on the new position of Retail Specialist at our newly named Eco Building Bargains store. I spent the next eight years in that position until relocating to Maine.
