Main Focus: Worked as an independent contractor providing services as Logistics Manager to coordinate deliveries, movement and distribution for Core & Shell, retail tenant improvements, office tenants and the coordination of residential move-in logistics. Reporting directly to Brookfield’s Retail Construction Manager, I worked closely with all contractors to anticipate and schedule deliveries, logistically provide supervision for street closures, loading dock access and provide overall coordination with suppliers and sub-contractors. Main focus: Building remodels, additions and new construction – both commercial and residential As a General Contractor I perform all initial meetings with prospective customers, prepare and submit estimates, work with engineers and architects, perform all permitting requirements, interview and hire licensed sub-contractors, provide project management from start to finish, coordinate design changes and internal scheduling. I order all materials, perform finish work as required, meet with inspectors, prepare all invoicing, complete profit and loss analysis and manage all customer service follow-up. As Project Engineer, I worked was the field supervisor to build out commercial building improvements in excess of $2,000,000. I assisted our internal design team and helped finalize architectural drawings for permit submission. I oversaw and supervised our field team along with sub-contractors on the project, along with monitoring project safety, quality control and scheduling. I excelled in job ownership and continually maintained internal budgets and costs on each of my projects. Real Estate Appraiser Apprentice
As a real estate appraiser apprentice, I assisted the company’s licensed appraisers in the following areas: zoning; construction timelines, improvement analysis; comparables; property inspections; preparing worksheets; preparing market analysis; estimating values; choosing comparables; using documentation; and developing an opinion of the value of real property.
