Client – Department of Economic Security (Division of Developmental Disability), Phoenix, USA

Start Date: July 2016

End Date: June 2019

DES provides supports and services to over 35,000 people with developmental disabilities and their families throughout Arizona.

DES strives to support the choices of individuals with disabilities and their families by promoting and providing flexible, quality, member-driven services and supports within communities. We value our community connections and emphasis on looking at a person’s strengths and gifts.

Most services to children and adults with developmental disabilities are delivered in the family’s or person’s own home as well as their community. Services are provided based on each person’s identified needs, state and/or federal guidelines and, when applicable, the availability of funds. Services are authorized and monitored by a support coordinator (case manager). The support coordinator promotes access to community resources and flexibility in meeting the person’s needs. While some services are delivered directly by the State, most services are delivered through a large network of individual and agency contracted providers.

Services are provided throughout the lifespan of an eligible member. For children under the age of three who have certain developmental delays, the DES Division of Developmental Disabilities works in partnership with the DES Arizona Early Intervention Program (AZEIP) and community agencies to provide early intervention services for these children and their families. Early intervention services help young children grow and develop as well as support their families.

The Division’s contract with AHCCCS outlines that a Provider Directory be available to consumers’ families on the Division’s website. This directory would allow the user to search for Providers that are available to deliver in home services and center based services to the consumer. Connecting the Providers and the Families to the Qualified Provider network will allow the ability to choose the provider who best fits the family’s needs.

Client – Arizona Department Revenue, Phoenix, USA

Start Date: Jan-16

End Date: June-16

The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) will become the single point of administration and collection of State, county and municipal transaction privilege tax (TPT). Taxpayers will be able to file and pay on one form for all jurisdictions. ADOR will make changes to the current TPT-1 and JT-1 forms, referred to in this document as the TPT-2 and JT-2, to collect location specific information. AZTaxes will be redesigned to improve the taxpayer experience and collect all information needed in the TPT-1 and JT-1 forms. AZTaxes (online system) will implement an address lookup page that integrates a Geographic information system (GIS) to provide the taxpayers with accurate TPT jurisdictions based on their addresses. This GIS functionality will be integrated into the JT-2 (online version). ADOR will also implement an instrument to file and pay multiple returns in bulk through AZTaxes. DOR will provide location based reporting to all cities.

TAS System is internal to AZDOR and AZTAXES is available to both DOR and public user. TAS system maintains data in oracle database whereas AZTAXES system maintains data in SQL Database. DOR define new rate and modify existing rate along with rate effective date in TAS system. The BizTalk 2013 version of the Rate Extract orchestration uses SQL Polling to determine if new changes have been made to rates that need to be synchronized with AZTaxes. The Application starts when SQL polling makes a call to AZTaxes to get last run date. This date is passed on as parameter for the newly created AINTS611 module in TAS database that extracts all rate data changes after this date. The output of this stored procedure is passed back to orchestration in an XML format. The orchestration loads XML data into batch table in AZTaxes database. There is a batch process for Rate synchronization in AZTaxes database. The batch process validates current batch against validation rule and mark status of validation. Synchronization process sync validation succeeded data to actual table AZ Taxes Database. Synchronization summary and Error report email notification will be send to concern team. AZTaxes Web application enhancement.
