• Qualified to float to the NICU and care for newborns at LEVEL 2. Have 7 years' experience floating to the NICU after successfully completing the skills check-off list with the preceptors' signature. Can provide copy of the skills check-off list if needed.

• Adept at recognizing an irregularity during the assessment of an otherwise healthy newborn, communicating with the charge nurse, and calling the pediatrician using the SBAR format to explain the noted concerns. OB/GYN Nurse Case Management/Triage Nurse

• Created and implemented a nursing clinic to assess OB/GYN and diabetic Spanish speaking patients to ensure they understood and maintained compliance with their own at home care and emphasized education in between appointments with their primary care provider.
