04/16-08/16-Warehouse Supervisor: Motor Company (Aerotek)-Supervised 20 union employees at Ford high volume distribution center.

Duties included lining up the inbound crew at the start of the shift, monitoring the production volume, receiving inbound trailers and rail road cars, replenishing stock bins, printing out the outbound part labels surveying for shift overtime. Special project was investigating ways to reduce the put away error rate among the inbound crew.

07/15-04/16-Laid off From U. S. Steel due to a plant wide lay off.

10/04-07/15-United States Steel Corporation

Shift Manager-Supervised 30 hourly workers in the processing steel coils through the 80" Hot Mill.

Established and maintained safety among the work crews. I controlled on time production and the quality of the product. Coordinated unscheduled repairs during turn break downs.

Security Site Supervisor-Supervised 37 security sites in Memphis, TN. Ensured the personnel properly performed site duties and adhered to the proper uniform. Assisted the site personnel with incidents and incident reports as needed.

Mill Hot Production Shift Manager-Supervised 18-25 union workers; maintained and improved the procedures for 3 down coilers. Trained coiler operators and mechanics in new equipment and technology. Supervised routine and emergency maintenance. Also directing the successful rolling of various schedules. Had the responsibility for people, material, equipment from the slab yard to the cold mill.

Other Duties: Supervised mechanical and electrical personnel. Supervised 60 crew members in mechanical and electrical repairs on the 80" Hot Strip Mill. Responsible for work assignments, work completion, overtime, and product quality in a 24/7 rotating shift operation. Other responsibilities included Safety Team Leader.

Accomplishments:

1. Tackled a significant Delay Problem Delay Problem; established a weekly critical path checklist to detect and prevent equipment failures. Result: saved the company thousands of dollars monthly in reduced delay time.

2. Solved a roll bearing life problem; the mill was not getting normal bearing life, re-constructed the water spray headers and significantly improved roll bearing life. The results were: less delays and a big reduction in bearing purchases.

3. Made significant improvements in the roll bite header by changing the entry angle of the strip at F2. The result was greatly increased removal of scale an improved product quality.
