Respiratory Therapist with 24 years experience in various healthcare settings. I am skilled in providing respiratory care for a wide

variety of patients with diverse needs. I have worked with many critical care situations from the E.R. to the Trauma room to all adult,

pediatric and neonatal ICU's, to delivery rooms, operating rooms and any floor in between. I worked mostly with adults in critical

care and on the floors before working in NICU, starting in 2005. For over 19 yrs I have been specializing in the critical needs of the neonate, in

level III and IV NICU's. In Tampa I had the opportunity to manage the ventilation and oxygenation of a neonate,on the oscillator,

during a broviac placement in the O.R. From the transport down to the O.R., the operation and back to the NICU, all went well. In

the NICU I have intubated, done art and cap sticks, drawn from lines, EKG's with 4 point BP's and go to all high risk and O.R. deliveries. The NICU is

where my heart and soul is. Several places have given me the chance to work every unit from the Emergency room to the Adult

ICU's, PICU and to the NICU and all in between. Sometimes you had a new assignment each night. Due to all of the diversity,

experience and knowledge I have had the chance to gain over the years, I feel very well rounded as a therapist. I am also grateful

for the chance to learn anything new as my career goes forward! I acquired my RRT in 2014 and in September 2020 I got my

NPS. I traveled for several years in 2004-2007 and this experience has given me confidence, knowledge and experiences, I

otherwise may not have had the chance to get. I again started back traveling in 2017 at the end of August, as I am looking for a

place to put down some roots. I wanted to grow as a therapist, still growing everyday, and I feel I have with all my traveling and

just working in different places along the way. Every place does things a little differently and it is nice to have learned that along

in my journey. So now, looking for a place to put my skills and knowledge to work. I do not mind working holidays or weekends. I have Enjoyed coming to work again after coming to Catawba Valley MC as a Traveler. I love all the people I have worked with and people are truly nice and helpful. I do my best to give that back as well. I would love for this to be my forever home! I would be looking forward to also becoming part of the NICU team if hired. I love nights and will work Holidays and weekends. I really do mean that. I will give it my all each and everyday, I truly LOVE what I do (especially at Catawba Valley MC!)
