TUR-BO JET PRODUCTS

Rosemead, California, United States

TBJ is an AS9100+ISO9001 company with ~12M of gross annual sales of high-reliability electro-mechanical coils, valves, and solenoids serving commercial, industrial, medical, and aerospace markets. I directly managed/lead a team of 18+ technical engineers, technicians/inspectors, and operators ensuring product excellence for both electrical and mechanical requirements; indirectly, I specified/managed the company internal auditors for verification/compliance of the QMS. I ensure verifiable standards for continuing quality improvement programs within the company to promote product excellence beyond the day-to-day operations. Operate as the Manufacturer's Representative (MR) for all quality matters and formal audits: desk-top, customer product, and third-party (QMS) to include preparation of presentation for the QMS management review. As a major contributor responding towards all customer surveys ensuring continuing/new contract rewards for capability/capacity queries, I review submittals for accuracy and completeness in contract review to ensure costs are not over-looked. Responsible for ASL, CAPA, QKPIs, CofCs, FAIR (AS9102 form1-3), and required documentation for complete lot control and traceability of material/process and verification meeting or exceeding customer base requirements. Effective implementation of customer/supplier contract flow-down requirements through contract review and internal documentation and to the suppliers resulting in improved operations. RCCA for improved company product/process consideration exceeding requirements using Pareto, 5 Why, and 8D analysis for both internal to the corporation and meeting requirements for the customer base beyond industry standards. Improved Test Lab/RI documented procedures covering technical process and attributes for inspection/test plans: Electrical Waveform Analysis, Coil and Bonding Resistance, Shorted Turns Testing, Insulation Resistance, Dielectric Strength (HI pot), Surge Testing, Magnetic Field Orientation, Inductance/Impedance Analysis, etc. Improved process capability studies by ensuring the implementation and monitoring of documented QA procedures. Improvements have resulted in greatly improved efficiency/accuracy/completeness for customer documented requirements. My work has yielded improved profitability for the corporation. Key Accomplishments

• Reduction of COPQ through managed documented/implemented process control and formal training throughout the appropriate staff. Samples of both released documentation and formal presentations are available upon request.

• The improved Contract Review process, ensuring OTD commitments for the product while matching capacity planning for the customer projects. These changes affected all departments throughout the organization. These changes greatly improved customer satisfaction levels yielding repeat sales while reducing customer complaints - taking the standard business model into account to reduce costs.

• KPI monitoring and control/documentation • SPC (where applicable); reduction of AQL

• Improved communications and training throughout the departments yielding greater efficiency of manufacturing processes where either formal documentation or training was previously nonexistent. These supporting efforts greatly improved efficiency in production while also ensuring high, sustainable levels of quality.

• Instrumental in building manufacturing standards such as: IPC-610, IPC-J-STD-001 meeting customer contract manufacturing/electrical requirements.

• Decreased costs for calibration services through strong methods of internal documentation supporting verification requirements meeting world-class standards. Examples of internal procedures are available upon request. 1995-2011
