As a Database Architect for Scripps Medical Foundation, I designed and implemented BI solutions that use USE-CASE based scenarios and SQL analytic functions with web interface as a tool to generate datasets as needed for the USE CASE. I then used Power BI to view the result set. Using DAX and MDX, I developed a meaningful use clinic using data mart methodology (staging / Logic) using Microsoft SSIS2008 and IBM Cognos 10 Framework manager & reporting, generating reports for attestation and analysis. The data source was Allscripts EEHR, This Meaningful use project generated 15 million dollars for the organization in its fourth year. I also developed an EEHR Data Store based on Allscripts database for the operational reports that are used daily for the entire Scripps Medical Foundation department, which includes 15 different projects like 340B and others. This project replaces the existing system and provides a more robust and easy way to access the data and save money for the organization. My experience and knowledge provide valuable insights into the development and support of Scripps business intelligence/data warehouse, database administration, and software development environments.

I have experience working with end-users to gather business requirements and develop dashboard reports using KPI and other reporting elements for a high-volume database. This allowed application analysts to track projects by timeline and gave management an overview of department bottlenecks. I also gathered business requirements, designed, and developed a downtime solution that provided doctors with patient chart. and scheduling information when the central systems were down for maintenance or otherwise unavailable. I used ASP.NET VB and SQL Server 2008 to develop this solution, which included critical information such as 90-day history with pharmacy and insurance information, and patient health information. This saved $1,000,000 a day. I converted data from MySQL into MS SQL when doing data migration from several medical departments from one hospital enterprise system to another. Using MS Visual Studio 2010 NET 4.0 platform, SQL Server 2008 R2, and SSRS, I developed a CMS web application that combined helpdesk issue tracking and messaging. I created a large website to hold SSRS and dashboard reports for managing staff activities. I also designed reporting services infrastructure using database mirroring and snapshot technology. I supported a complex database environment which included 14 different databases, using SSRS to develop reports to monitor status, and provided 3rd tier support for a support team of 250 users to help solve problems. To avoid non-connectivity issues, I created ETL tools that pulled needed datasets to a redundant another server. This saved the company a significant amount of money by avoiding SLA penalties. Finally, I developed small tools/utilities to automate processes using complex stored procedures, views, UDF, ETL, and ASP.NET VB.NET. I also created Prenatal report and Lab Order requisition inside Allscripts EEHR Report for the Vice President of SCMG organization.
