Mounted & inspected aerospace components on a PC-DMIS driven Brown & Sharpe CMM, strictly adhering to the sorting by part numbers, serial numbers, etc. While parts ran in the CMM, I would inspect additional aerospace parts with calipers, micrometers, digital height gages, gage pins, etc. and record results onto Inspection Reports and their computer system.

Provided insight and improvements to synchronize work instructions with inspection reports. This reduced confusion and improved accuracy and speed. Other responsibilities included working in a clean room, inspection of assembled medical/optical devices & products; testing of optics, control panel, I/O ports, optics, lasers, motor controls, touch screen terminals, validated the device’s test results, process output, etc. Ensured on a daily basis that quality records and company practices are compliant with FDA's Quality System Regulation (QSR), and internal procedures and regulations. Ran the Quality Control department at this ISO 9001, AS 9000 and AS9100 Certified facility, in-process and incoming inspection for the Defense, Aerospace industries. Measured honeycomb inlet and exhaust vents for aircraft and launch vehicles. Extensive use of Brown & Sharpe ‘Gage 2000’ Manual CMM with Renishaw Probes, MicroHite 700 digital height gage, mechanical height gages, dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, pin gages, thread gages, sine plate, etc. Made sure elemental composure of incoming materials adhered to various Aerospace Material Specifications (AMS), scrutinized ‘Certificates of Compliance’ & Mill Certificates. Mylar was used to inspect manufactured, curved machine parts. Generated reports with Excel. I wrote a computer programs; one that calculated pre-plating specifications, another calculated tolerance ranges.
