EXPERIENCE

SailPoint Technologies, Austin, Texas 2010–2023

Test new functionality of flagship Identity application with a focus on test automation, scale and performance testing. I began as an early contributor to what is now the leading enterprise Identity Management software. Principal Test Engineer

• Served as QA representative during backlog grooming and new feature grooming. Worked closely with PM to refine requirements, clarify customer expectations, and drive technical quality.

• Contributed to cross-functional performance lab team that included professional services and support; created flexible datasets and scripts to set benchmarks and debug customer issues.

• Coordinated the creation and maintenance of a 4500 test case repository which provided a platform for our automation efforts.

• Helped lead an automation project that increased nightly test coverage coverage from 10% to 50% and reduced regression cycles from 6 weeks to 3 weeks.

• Created automated nightly performance test suite that allowed identification of performance impacting changes in real time, instead of months later during regression. This and other scale efforts enabled the sales team to target increasingly larger enterprise customers.

• Served as a "Go To" member of the team for critical or complicated projects early in the development cycle reducing churn when the wider teams began to work on the features.

• Mentored junior testers, contractors, and overseas employees on test strategies, methods, tools, test case and test plan writing, and other tasks to avoid wasted time and inconsistent documentation.

• Validated cloud deployment approaches that expanded the customer base by supporting customers with cloud mandates.

• Wrote tools to help other testers create data for their testing, saving many hours per person when running their test scenarios.

• Worked with other development teams within SailPoint to integrate their software with ours, documenting difficulties and working with developers to make the process smoother.

• Set up, operated, and troubleshot the product in diverse environments (Windows, Linux, AWS) with array of databases including DB2, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.

• Performed a wide variety of testing including manual, functional, security, API, UX, integration, and regression testing.
