I started my HVAC career at this company working with some of the most talented people on BAS installation. Most of my job sites where Chicago public schools where I must have pulled a couple million feet of cable and wire. This is where I learned the basics and eventually ended up as a foreman working on large jobs at UIC, CPS and Jessie Brown VA. Throughout my years in this field I have been inside almost every building on UIC campus and I always run across work I did a decade ago. This is the first controls contractor I ever worked with and I learned a great deal from the incredable patient foreman that I had the honor of working with.

Im a motivated tech savy HVAC electrician with 25 years of temperature control system installation mixed in with years of residential and commercial HVAC/R experience. I have sold many residential systems and have worked on all brands of commercial roof top units from starting them up for the first time or maintaining a 20 year old Carrier unit at a facility. In the begining of my career I started out installing residential electric power and generators with automatic tranfer switches before moving into the commercial field. I have many years of facility maintenance experience with HVAC/R equipment including kitchen and laboratory assets for commercial buildings and hospitals using work order systems like Maximo. I also installed much of the equipment that I was maintaning including troubleshooting DDC system devices in the field on AHUs, Chillers, and other large HVAC equipment. I have experience with many different DDC system manufacturers such as AutoMatrix, Alerton, Siemens, and Johnson Controls. In facility maintenance, I was responsable for addressing DDC alarms and responding to hot cold calls from customers while following preventive maintenance work orders. At Banyon I was always involved with new BAS installs on very large projects throughout the Chicago land area and would train the customers on the systems that we installed. At some point I did manage a crew of up to ten electricians installing new electrical power in commercial buildings in the city of Chicago. Most of the work I did at Banyon was installing building automation systems or maintaining a facility's mechanical and refrigeration systems under a service contract. I have worked with many technicians from comapnies such as Siemens, Johnson Controls and many contractor techs that would visit our sites. While working in hospitals I had the opportunity to work on lab fume hoods and help calibrate and maintain room pressure controls on many manufacture's control systems. Im aware of labratory protocals partaning to clean rooms and the practice of gowning up before entering issolation rooms and clean rooms. Because I have experience with rooftop units I also was trained on the many communication interfaces such as LonTalk, BacNet, and ModBus in order to interface rooftop units to a new or an existing BAS.
