The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas / Wood Telemnagement, Las Vegas, NV, April 2017- Current

Onsite consultant

In 2019, I took on the responsibility as the sole onsite Avaya support for the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, a multi-billion-dollar casino and premier hotel with 3,043 rooms, 6 call centers, and over 8,000 phones. My daily responsibilities included being on call 24/7, managing and prioritizing incoming work, and performing adds, moves, and changes within an Avaya cloud-based system. I also supported multiple call centers with CMS, call routing, and day-to-day changes, while simultaneously overseeing projects and upgrades, providing customer education, and attending meetings with internal and external project and program managers and C-level executives.

Level 3 Communications (now Lumen), Las Vegas, NV, February 2015- November 2016

Operations Technician

With a team of three people, we maintained the Las Vegas system. This including colocation services, installation of network interface devices, nodes, optical and copper circuits, rack & stack, cross connects, break fix, troubleshooting and circuit testing. Installing rack mount power systems and OSP nodes. Primary work locations were at secure facilities, such as Switch Super NAP, Level 3’s data centers and points of presence. Supported all products that were offered by Level 3. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to grow my knowledge of electrical systems and optical transportation.

Velociti CTSK Incorporated, Las Vegas, NV, February 2014-January 2015

Technical Lead

During the 2014 Wi-Fi expansion project, I provided direct supervision to over 20 installers for Caesars Entertainment’s pilot and premier properties. I planned mock-up rooms and developed best practices for a successful deployment of over 9,000 access points at Planet Hollywood and Caesars Palace. I held sole responsibility for all IDF build-outs and fiber optic runs within these properties.

Managed a team and traveled to 35 states to install RFID gas card systems for the Loves and TA gas card roll-out. This included fiber optic and CAT6e cabling, Nema enclosures, Cisco switches and NextGen servers. Started as an entry-level Residential Technician 1 at Cox Communications and advanced to a lead commercial repair technician on an eight-man team in Las Vegas.
