Serve as the sitting municipal judge for the town and conduct monthly criminal court dockets. Act as the principal legal advisor for the town of Colcord, OK. Advise town council as to all matters related to local governance, employment, law enforcement, risk management, fire protection, insurance matters, fund raising, election process, business/tax revenue attraction and acquisition; Function as the primary legal liaison between the State of Oklahoma, federal government entities/organizations and the town itself. Municipal Attorney – Town of Spavinaw, OK 8/09 – 08/12

Act as the principal legal advisor for the town of Spavinaw, OK. Advise town council as to all matters related to local governance, employment, law enforcement, risk management, fire protection, insurance matters, fund raising, election process, business/tax revenue attraction and acquisition; act as part-time town prosecutor and ‘stand by’ municipal court judge during monthly municipal court sessions. Function as the primary legal liaison between the State of Oklahoma, federal government entities/organizations and the town itself. Legal Counsel – OK Biodiesel, Inc. – Gans, OK 2/06 – 2/08

Act as primary legal counsel for newly founded biodiesel production facility located in NE Oklahoma. Responsibilities include securing intellectual property rights for client corporation, drafting miscellaneous distributor/product purchaser sales contract provisions, detailing procedures to ensure liability limitation in event of alleged toxic tort exposure and potential litigation, grant procurement, clarification of various legislative matters that may or have already become codified Oklahoma statutory law, drafting of various tax credit documents to be submitted to and utilized by Oklahoma Tax Commission to ensure client corporation receives appropriate quarterly tax credits, along with other nondescript tasks inherent to attempting to secure successful propagation of “first of its kind” alternative fuel manufacturing facility located solely within the borders of the State of Oklahoma.

Associate Attorney – The Hartley Law Firm – Vinita, OK and Jay, OK 12/04 – 2/06

Acted as solo trial attorney for three attorney NE Oklahoma law firm (remaining two attorneys practiced out of Vinita, OK office). As only attorney located in Jay, OK office, individually handled multiple areas of civil litigation (including but not limited to property law/boundary disputes, tort and personal injury cases, protective orders/separation/divorce/custody & visitation/property division/visitation and adoption, estate planning, guardian appointment and management matters, business incorporation/asset protection/liability limitation provisions/liability opinions) and criminal litigation (including felony and misdemeanor charges, juvenile matters, and mental health/involuntary commitment proceedings). Also served alternating roles with other two attorney members of The Hartley Firm as legal counsel for The Town of West Siloam Springs, OK and as municipal prosecutor for The Town of Ketchum, OK.

Associate Staff Attorney - Matrix Service, Inc. - Philadelphia, PA 7/04 –11/04

Assist in discovery process, documentation, depositions of key witnesses involved in multimillion-dollar contract dispute litigation in Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Perform contract analysis and negotiation, employment and independent contractor representation plan development and initiation, corporate D.O.T. compliance oversight, corporate trademark registration, lien filing and claim management in relation to moneys owed by bankrupting debtor, and risk management plan initiation.
