I was trained in all areas of the office, for future of moving to the future beach office. I was trained: 1) Chart prepping, this consisted of collecting information from the doctor’s last dictation and make sure that all documents are in the chart as dictated. 2) Insurance verification, call insurance companies listed in patient’s chart verify pre-certification qualifications on certain procedures. This would include commercial and auto insurance’s. 3) Check in window, collecting money due from patient, verifying address, phone, insurance information, retrieving any recent test preformed, calling pt back to nurses, answering 10 line phones and directing to proper department or assisting person/patient. 4) Check out window, this consisted of scheduling any test ordered by the doctor, and getting authorization if required by patient insurance, collecting any money due for office visit that day, writing receipt, scheduling next appt in office, following any other instructions from the doctor for that patient, help answer 10-line phone, as opener: get money bank out, as closer: count money and make deposit and put money bag in safe.
