Conducted experiments as a part of burn treatment and wound healing. These studies are designed to determine the effects of different drugs on primary skin cell cultures and on protein expression in burned versus normal skin biopsies.

I also characterized the in vitro release of cytokines and inflammatory cell surface markers, from human monocytes and macrophages.

Techniques applied include primary skin cell culture, macrophage cell culture, ELISAs, protein isolation, protein concentration assays, SDS-PAGE and Western Blotting. Research results were presented at weekly lab meetings.

Researched Rat/Mice Hippocampus synaptosomes and PSD fractionations (Sucrose-CaCl2 gradient), glutamate receptors and other protein expressions by doing SDS PAGE and Western blots.
