Work History
2005—Present, Controller, Construction Company, Mandeville, LA Manage all aspects of the accounting department. Manage all accounting direct reports and review all data to ensure accuracy. Responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, job cost, payroll, cash management, fixed asset management, bank reconciliations, general ledger review, account analysis, budgeting and financial statement preparation. Also was responsible for Human Resources for 16 years until recently hiring a full time HR Director. Work closely with IT department to assess hardware and software needs.
2000—2005, Administrative Assistant, Groathouse Construction, Inc., Laramie, WY Managed all aspects of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, worker’s compensation, unemployment insurance and all federal and state reporting. Supervised 2 employees and all data entry entered in accounting and job cost. Worked closely with project managers and project superintendents on job costing and owner billings monthly. Compiled, reviewed and sent out all subcontracts and purchase orders for new projects. Transferred data from estimating software to job cost accounting software. Handled all health insurance and profit sharing plans as well as any personnel issues that would arise.
