I designed a virtual toolkit for tax facilitators and developers to simplify the complex workstream required to design measurable learning experiences. PWC [contractor: KForce] Atlanta, GA 01/2022 – 04/2022 PWC contracted with KForce to provide support to their internal learning and development team. This position encompassed multiple projects and roles, including Manager and Senior Associate for the Learner Experience Team. This completely remote position required support with managing projects and workforce using Google Suite. I managed a required, firmwide course for new hires and interns. I used Google sheets to manage project workstreams and Google docs to share/collaborate with internal stakeholders. As Senior Associate on other projects, I used Gmail, Google Chat, and tagging in Google docs to update important documents, communicate across wide audiences and manage processes involved in creation of learning objects. NASCO [contractor: Insight Global] Morristown, NJ 11/2021 – 01/2022 I was contracted through Insight Global to work for NASCO, a healthcare technology company providing learning and development support to major healthcare companies nationwide. This completely remote position required support with creation and development of user guides, video demonstrations, and eLearning courses. I used Microsoft Outlook, WebEx, and Skype to communicate and collaborate with L&D teams. I used the ADDIE instructional design methodology. I used Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to create learning objects, storyboards, and screen capturing. I used Camtasia to edit video recordings and upload those videos to Adobe Captivate for implementation. Interactive learning experiences were built in either Adobe Captivate or Articulate Rise. EY [contractor: Atrium] Iselin, NJ 07/2021 – 11/2021 I was contracted through Atrium to work for EY. EY partnered with Microsoft to create a vaccine management system (VMS), so State of Georgia department medical providers can administer the COVID-19 vaccine to State of Georgia residents. This was a completely remote position requiring creation of training programs, so State of Georgia medical providers can use the system. EY Associates and I used SharePoint and Teams to share system user information. I used the ADDIE instructional design methodology. I participated in Teams meetings with Microsoft and State of Georgia employees to learn to use the VMS. I used Rise Articulate to create interactive training experiences.

EY [contractor: BC Forward] Indianapolis, IN 03/2021 – 06/2021 I was contracted through BC Forward to work for EY’s internal team called the Global Virtualization team. This global team, including associates in London, Australia and the United States, was created to virtualize face-to-face courses designed for internal EY associates. This completely remote position required design and development of the Tax Advisor and Counseling Excellence courses. Previous course material was saved and shared via Teams. I used the ADDIE instructional design methodology. I evaluated the previous course material to locate learning objectives used to align existing course activities and assessments and determine where new materials need to be developed. I worked with internal subject matter experts to clarify information shared and determine whether new content is required. Microsoft Word and PowerPoint were used to create leader guides and slide decks to present information in virtual courses, as well as storyboards for eLearning modules.

Porsche [contractor: 24Seven Talent] Atlanta, GA 05/2021 – 07/2021 I was contracted through 24Seven Talent to work for Porsche. As a result of the COVID-19 virus and the need for associates to work remotely, Porsche decided to save revenue by hiring an Instructional Designer to virtualize their internal training programs. This contract position reported to Human Resources and worked with HR Directors and Vice Presidents to gather content. I used the ADDIE instructional design methodology. From the content, I created learning outcomes, activities and assessments in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. I shared these documents using Teams, gained approval, and moved to developing content in Rise Articulate for deployment in Success Factors.

Florida International University [contractor: KForce] Tampa, FL 01/2021 – 05/2021 I was contracted through KForce to work for Florida International University. As a result of the COVID-19 virus and the need for associates to work remotely, Florida International University (FIU) hired 4 Instructional Designers to work with faculty to design and develop curricula that integrates technological tools. I lead associates in using soft skills, like building rapport with faculty, and using ADDIE to design curriculum that aligns technological tools with course learning objectives. We used Teams to communicate, share information and conduct virtual meetings. We used Salesforce to manage projects and track communication with faculty. Some technologies faculty members elected to work with are Canvas (share content, create activities and assessments), Teams (for meetings with students), Camtasia (video editing), YouTube (for publishing and sharing content), Wordle, Vimeo, Audacity, and social media to create interactive activities. Technical Advisor -- Apple Cupertino, CA 05/2019 – 04/2021 This part-time role was a part of the College program Apple offers students enrolled full-time at participating universities. My participation in the doctorate program at Georgia State University afforded me this opportunity. I was hired to support Apple’s iOS customers in the US and Canada with usage of their products. I analyzed customer’s needs to provide information and resources to solve technical issues. I lead my team by designing job aids using Pages & Keynote to aid advisors in assisting iOS customers with issues. I built partnerships and provided support to internal stakeholders using Slack.

Graduate Teaching Assistant -- Georgia State University Atlanta, GA 08/2016 – 05/2020 This part-time position was a part of my participation in the doctorate program in Rhetoric and Composition. I was offered teaching stipends to teach the first-year English Composition course. I analyzed learners’ training needs to identify gaps in learning. I designed eLearning modules with learning content and real-world scenarios using Articulate to close learning gaps. I designed and implemented curricula for 3-credit, undergraduate English Composition 101 courses that integrates Google Suite to enhance student’s digital literacy. Emeritus Boston, MA 06/2020 – 11/2020

Emeritus is a learning and development vendor that hires Instructional Designers and eLearning Developers to design and develop curriculum for US Ivy League institutions. As a result of the COVID-19 virus and the need to work remotely, I was hired to work with faculty members from Kellogg Northwestern to design a communications and marketing course. This was a completely remote position; we used Google drive to share and collaborate. High Performance Marketing & Communications was designed for a credit-bearing Executive Education course. It was designed in Google Drive using Google Docs – we used the comment feature to communicate updates and corrections. I worked with eLearning Developers in Mumbai, India to create, edit and publish videos for the course using Vimeo. Canvas was used to publish and implement the course.

Abilene Christian University (ACU) Dallas, TX 03/2019 – 12/2019 ACU offers credit-bearing, online business courses. I was hired to design and develop a credit-bearing Business Law & Ethics course. I worked with a business law professor using Google Drive. This was a completely remote position; we designed and collaborated in Google Docs. Morehouse College Faculty Development Center Atlanta, GA 01/2019 – 02/2019 This leadership role required creation and implementation of all training programs provided by the department: using Blackboard learning management system and other technological tools, like iOS products. This position required creation of relationships with other learning and development colleagues across the Atlanta University Center: Spelman, Clark Atlanta, and Woodruff Library. I used Microsoft 365 & Google Drive to share and collaborate with Morehouse faculty. Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe Presenter, and Vimeo were used for eLearning course creation. I supervised the Department Secretary in supporting the administrative duties associated with learning and development work and lead implementation of the training programs across the campus. Springboard Content & Publishing, LLC Phoenix, AZ 08/2018 – 12/2018 Springboard Content & Publishing, LLC secured a contract with Regis to provide learning and development support to their faculty. Springboard hired me as a freelancer to support Regis with this work. We used Wrike to manage the many courses we developed. I worked with faculty to develop credit-bearing undergraduate and graduate courses. We collaborated using a secure, company-managed Google Drive (Google Docs & Google Sheets). We developed stand-alone eLearning modules using Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline. I mentored and coached the IDs on our team in aligning learning outcomes to course activities and assessments by discussing alignment and reviewing and modifying their design documents, so they are aligned. Kelly Services IT Denver, CO 06/2018 – 08/2018

Kelly Services IT secured a contract with the learning and development vendor, TTEC to design and develop training for associates at Independence Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Kaiser Permanente. We used Wrike to manage the many courses we developed. I worked with SMEs to analyze the current training situation and create or revise new training content. I used Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Google Suite to share and collaborate in design documents. I designed and edited videos using Camtasia, exported videos to the company’s YouTube channel, and imported them into Success Factors for implementation. I lead a team of 4 through the rapid ADDIE design process for quick course turnaround.

The Leadership Academy Long Island City, NY 05/2017 – 05/2018 The Leadership Academy, once the NYC Leadership Academy (NYCLA), hired me to transition their face-to-face training programs to virtual trainings. I worked with the facilitators on each of their 3 project teams to design fully online training in the Canvas learning management system. We used SharePoint and Teams to collaborate and meet. We used Microsoft Word to design training programs, HTML coding to design the online course site, and Monday.com to manage projects. I created the process for engagement in virtual webinars and facilitated a webinar series where NYCLA associates presented information and participated in interviews with people to support K-12 leaders in creation of learning environments that foster inclusion and diversity. Learning Designer II – Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Atlanta, GA 08/2015 – 12/2016 This full-time position was a part of the Learning and Development team to create and redesign training programs for customer service representatives supporting new customers as a result of the Affordable Healthcare Act. I analyzed the current training situation, organizational training goals, and technological tools to determine design processes. I designed facilitator and learner guides for customer success trainers and job aids for customer success advisors. I developed learning objects using Audacity & Adobe Creative Suite to import in Articulate Storyline eLearning modules. I used facilitator and learner feedback on evaluations to revise training programs. Adjunct Education Faculty – Webster University, Saint Louis, MO 01/2015 – 05/2016 This part-time, contractual teaching assignment was to implement two courses: Curriculum Development and Grant Writing. Instructional Designer & eLearning Specialist – Morehouse School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA 10/2014 – 08/2015 This full-time position was a part of the National Center for Primary Care, an entity within the larger Morehouse School of Medicine community. As the sole designer, I onboarded their first virtual learning community powered by Saba. I worked with SMS from 5 different project teams to create their respective virtual communities, design eLearning courses for implementation, and create and deploy via Saba.
