After making a substantial investment in Stratum technologies, the system wasn’t working, and the customer had lost track of system documentation, and confidence in the Stratum solution to effectively serve as the corporate reporting tool.

Provided Team Leadership, identified and assessed problems, determined courses of action to correct the problems, and get the project back on schedule, re-engaged the user community, and saw the various projects to successful conclusions.

Used T-SQL to extract packages to populate data warehouse. Also used to troubleshoot, transform, and create database objects and new table views.

Consulted for various clients to implement BI solutions ranging from large manufactures such as Sony Corp.; food companies such as Multifoods International / Best Brands; smaller distribution companies like MJ Pipe; and publishers such as Hachette and Penguin.

Utilized T-SQL to create stored procedures, triggers, and functions for a POS System, and created queries for SQL and AS400i series.

Utilized StratumViewer to create BI analytic solutions for clients. (StratumViewer is Silvon Software’s web-based BI business tool used for analysis of sales history, open orders, POS, inventory, demand, etc.)

Managed and maintained the StratumViewer Inventory Optimization Module to pull in key items of data (Planned lead time, Actual lead time, Forecast Units, and Demand Units) as inputs to calculate safety stock, and other performance indicators.

Created, maintained, and expanded the POS module to interface with Excel spreadsheets, text files, and EDI transfers as data sources to be loaded into StratumViewer’s Storage Warehouse, and ultimately processed into a Cube for Microsoft’s Analysis Services.

Installed, configured, and maintained all hardware and sizing recommendations for all programs, including StratumViewer software.

Conducted Planning-Design-Sessions with the stakeholders, project sponsors, and the stakeholder’s IT representatives. Documented the agreed upon design.

Created the Metadata pursuant to the Planning-Design Sessions, wrote extracts via DTS used to load data into the Data Warehouse (Initial Load, Nightly Net Change, and Master File loads) from the ERP, ODS, or other sources.

Trained the technical staff on administering the Data Warehouse and maintaining the StratumViewer application

Educated the project sponsors on the various modules available to augment the existing implemented modules, and thus, maximize the stakeholder’s Return on Investment for the StratumViewer software suite.
