Resume:

Charles R. Provini

Chuck Provini holds an engineering degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master’s from the University of Oklahoma. At Annapolis, he was a leadership instructor and chairman of the Academy’s Honor Board. (To this day, he takes the Naval Academy’s Honor Code very seriously. He expects his staff to do the same.) As a Marine officer, he was assigned as athletic officer at Camp Pendleton, a marine base in California. He was responsible for all athletic facilities and athletic teams for 70,000 Marines.

He then served tours in Vietnam in special operations units and received 19 combat decorations.

(He says that his wartime experience was excellent training for the financial industry.) Next, he was director of “Operation New Life” in Guam and responsible for creating housing, feeding and relocation for 50,000 Vietnamese refugees. He instituted language and work skill training for their transition to the United States.

He was president of Deak Perera, NY, one of the largest currency and precious metals dealers in the world.

Wall Street followed. He was President of Ladenburg Thalmann Asset Management and a Director of Ladenburg Thalmann, Inc., one of the oldest members of the NYSE. He served as President of Laidlaw Asset Management and as Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Howe

& Rusling, Laidlaw's Portfolio Management Advisory Group. He was President of Rodman & Renshaw's Advisory Services and President of LaSalle Street Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. (His experience running other peoples’ money led him to form C.R. Provini & Co., where he created a unique system for pairing money managers from his database with investor clients, based on clients’ goals and the money managers’ demonstrated performance. He marketed this best-of-breed, separately managed account program to medium-sized brokerages and banks, enabling them to compete with larger firms.) He was president of Paradigm Global, a NY fund of funds with over $6 billion under management. Chuck is a sought-after speaker. He’s often featured at financial seminars and has appeared on

“The Today Show,” “Good Morning America,” “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer,” and

“Fox and Friends,” discussing financial markets and, more recently, alternative energy, particularly solar and Waste-to-Energy projects. (ABC News correspondent Dan Harris found him in China in the middle of the night, Beijing time, and interviewed him via Skype.) He was featured in a NY Times article describing how he worked with China to help protect intellectual property. This resulted in an invitation to the Whtie House in order to explore improving US and China intellectual property protection.

More recently, he was invited to be a keynote speaker at the 2022 FinTech conference in Sydney, Australia.

Chuck, with his wife and son, reside full time in Florida along with Riley and Rex, the world’s most insane puppies.
