• Has a Head-to-toe assessments knowledge of a normal vs. abnormal findings and reporting of abnormal findings with other nurses, psychiatrists, rehabilitators and other health care provider involved.

• Has a critical thinking to intervene with appropriate interventions for urgent/emergent care. Care for the acute or critically ill newborn baby.

• Specialized nurses work with physicians and assist in treatment plans and examinations. Keep maintain and update detailed records of the patient's care.

• Provide health education and demonstrate to the parents the proper health care to their well or sick newborn babies.

• Create and maintain a safe therapeutic environment for both patients and staff to live in.

• Orientation of new staff and students attached.
