software that greatly reduces manpower and turnaround time on API 653 inspection reporting. The company is based in Calgary, Canada. I have been tasked to help grow the business in the Gulf Coast then the rest of the country. Texas Energy Trading, LLC

An Oil and Gas consulting and trading company. Texas Energy Trading has successfully assisted in the design, construction and operation of two facilities in the Houston region. Using my knowledge of the industry, I was able to build a successful business of consultation, which led into a successful business in the trading of off-specification fuel products. The company was one of four approved by BP to handle final disposition of the Deep Horizon Oil Spill. The company has assisted many companies throughout the region in properly handling any fuel created by spills, upsets, residuals or normal by-product.

Houston Area Manager

Responsibilities - In addition to the Facility Manager role, I took on the revenue ($27 MM/annually) side of the business for the Houston area which included the Baytown Facility, a satellite terminal and any impending local acquisitions. I directly controlled all budgetary, forecasting and sales directives for the region. I also traveled frequently to sister facilities around the country to help troubleshoot production issues.

Baytown Facility Manager

Responsibilities - Operated the Baytown Hydrocarbon Recovery Facility in a manner that effectively, safely and compliantly meets the company’s processing requirements at established budget targets. The responsibilities included the management of a 2000 bbl/day atmospheric distillation unit, an oil filter recycling plant, product oil blending, and the responsibilities outlined below as the Separations Plant Manager. I approved all operational or process changes, assigned and approved capital expenditures and develop strategies to meet demand forecasts. I was directly responsible for ~80% of the business group’s annual revenue via controlling all of the operations in Baytown including the sale and final disposition of the product. I worked on the design teams for facilities in Little Rock, Arkansas, Baytown and Luling, Texas. This included process design and specifying fluid separation and wastewater technologies. I was involved with two acquisitions completing due diligence and integration. Facility Manger responsibilities also included networking and interaction with other local industries, local and state government and the community.

Manager-Separations Plant and Laboratories

Responsibilities - Manage the day-to-day operation of a used oil recycling plant and laboratories. Assign tasks to ensure daily production schedules are met, including all prioritization, scheduling and coordination of test work to be performed. Directed the evaluation of many different treatment technologies including chemistry, membrane technology, filtration, RO and biological. Supervised operators, maintenance personnel, operation managers, chemists, laboratory technicians, transportation supervisors and drivers. Recommended strategies, projects and practices for improving the efficiency and economics of operations. Assigned to and led several task groups of companywide employees, including engineers, environmental specialists, sales managers, and regional VPs to develop market opportunities and evaluate growth potentials.

Responsibilities - Directly supervised chemists and lab technicians to assure daily operations ran unimpeded. Developed standard operation procedures, schedules and databases to log and distribute data. Recommended treatment strategies and implemented new test methods.

Responsibilities - Conducted testing of used oil to determine their compliance with applicable regulations and provide characterization information useful to their management in a used oil recycling plant.

Operator/Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities - Performed high precision chemical analyses and data reporting tasks. Operated, maintained and repaired analytical equipment including gas chromatographs and ion chromatographs units with associated automated sampler units, pH meters and gas analyzer systems. Operational duties included the computer-based control of a proprietary chemical process plant as well as shutdown and revision activities such as instrumentation replacement and repair, pipefitting, heavy equipment operation and general maintenance.
