Projects:

Renovation of Cairo International Airport Terminal Building 2, Egypt. The project aims at doubling the capacity of TB2 to 7.5 million passengers per year. With a built-up area of 228,000 m2, the project comprises the renovation of the existing terminal building, as well as the construction of new buildings that include a new departure hall and new airside pier. This doubles the existing total built-up area of TB2. The renovation program also includes a major upgrading and extension of the airside and landside pavements, which involves more than 300,000 m2 of pavement construction.

Credit Agricole Head Office, Egypt. With a built-up area of 42,000 m2, the project is implemented on approximately 50% of the total plot area, which is 51,334 m2. The building comprises two basements, a ground floor, and three typical floors. Floors comprise a retail branch, central reception, staff restaurant, board room, reception/meeting room, training center, 150-seat auditorium, IT communications & data room, loading bay, security room, post room, kitchen facilities, and employee offices. The basement comprises a gymnasium, maintenance room, first-aid room, archiving area, and two prayer rooms. ECG has used the Revit BIM package throughout the design process.

Etisalat Misr New Premises at Smart Village, Egypt. The office building comprises two basements with a total built-up area of 27,000 m2, as well as one ground floor and three typical floors with a total built-up area of 36,000 m2.

Beyti Plant Extension, Egypt. The project comprises the design and construction management and supervision of four production buildings and a filling area, each with a ground floor, mezzanine, and a roof, and each with a footprint of 10,750 m2. The project also comprises 3 warehouse buildings for raw materials, with a footprint of 5,650 m2, along with all electromechanical and infrastructure works.

Atlantic Industries Cairo Concentrate Plant (CocaCola) Firefighting System, Egypt. The scope of work covered the design and construction supervision of the fire-protection system of the CocaCola (Atlantic Industries) concentrate plant.

Gulsan Egypt Plant, 6th of October City, Egypt. On a land area of 85,100 m2 and with a built-up area of 50,000 m2, the plant comprises a production factory and final product warehouse with a built-up area of 19,047 m2 on several floors. The production plant is divided into two production lines with separate warehouses; a three-floor administration building with a footprint area of 698 m2; a one-floor raw material warehouse with a footprint area of 3,873 m2; and auxiliary buildings. The plant is a steel structure, and the administration building is a reinforced-concrete structure.

2009 to 2013: HSE Manager, ORASCOM Construction (OC), Cairo, Egypt.

Duties: Served as the interface with the company clients and subcontractors for all phases of the contracts with regard to HSE matters. Implemented HSE policy and procedures as well as HSE regulations and guidelines. Ensured compliance with all HSE requirements, procedures and work instruction for all workforce and subcontractors. Planned emergency evacuation and medical emergencies for specific site requirements. Reported, investigated, analyzed and followed up accidents. Granted permits to work system. Grand Heights, infrastructure (phase 1), 6th of October City, Egypt. The works in Grand Heights project are execution of the infrastructure networks and OCI as the main contractor will supply all material, laborers, temporary works, plant, machinery, construction, testing and handing over the infrastructure work in perfect working condition including the following: road work, potable water network, irrigation network, sewerage network, storm water network, electrical network, telecommunication network, structural, mechanical and electrical works.

P&G Manufacturing Expansion Project, 6th of October City, Egypt. This project is essentially a typical multi-disciplinary construction and installation project being undertaken at a Greenfield site, within an, as yet, undeveloped area set aside for future units.

EFG Herms New Office Block, Smart Village. Construction new office building with a built-up area of 2,000 m2 comprising 2 basements, ground floor and 3-storey for offices. The project comprises an office building, logistics hub and a vehicle maintenance facility. It extends over a foot print area of 6,000 m2 and plot area of 20,000 m2 including a basement, ground and three above ground floors.

2006 to 2008: HSE Engineer, Consolidated Contractors International Company (CCC), Cairo, Egypt.

Duties: Supervised the commissioning and energizing system. Inspected all electrical equipment. Prepared the reports and schedules for HSE activities. Implemented MSDS programs.
