Fuel Pipeline & 198 MW CCPP (Combined Cycle Combustion turbine Power Plant) Project Description:

The Guam Power Authority (GPA), in partnership with Korea Power Company Korea East West Power (KEPCO KEWP), is proposing to construct a new 198 MW combined cycle combustion turbine power plant (CCPP). The development will be located in the area known as Ukudu, in the municipality of Dededo. GPA has previously received approval from the Guam Consolidated Commission on Utilities (CCU), Guam Public Utilities Commission (GPUC), and the Guam Legislature to purchase the land and construct the new 198 MW CCPP on private land

comprising 59.2 acres. This parcel has been purchased by GPA, and the Guam Legislature has rezoned the parcel to M1 (Light Industrial) zoning to allow power plant development. The new 198 MW CCPP project is located on a 59.2 acre parcel. The power plant utilizes 25 acres, and an additional 15 acres will be used as a laydown area during construction. In addition, approximately 15 acres to the northwest will be obtained by KEPCO/KEWP to be utilized as an additional laydown area outside of the 59.2 acre parcel subject to approval of the landowner. Access to the power plant site will be from Route 3 to the east along a reserved easement leased to GPA.
