• Responsible for managing all aspects of multi-state, bi-weekly payroll processing for ~6000 exempt and non-exempt employees across NC & SC.
• Heavily supported AP with reconciling/matching of invoices, documentation in SharePoint Database, and ensuring proper separation of duties such as secure storage of blanks checks.
• Fostered operations with cross-functional responsibilities including GL (ledger entries), AR & bank deposit reconciliations, year-end & month-end close, and benefits administration.
• Initially managed and processed all payroll and HR-related duties via analog/paper systems including accurately keying 50-pages of employee time reports by hand, properly applying fringe deductions
(taxes, benefits, uniform fees, garnishments, etc.) and running/mailing printed checks.
• Maintained strict industry/payer compliance via diligent monitoring of processes and reporting.
• Ensured proper quarterly tax filings and W2 distribution in coordination with payroll vendors.
