As a lifelong learner who enjoys working in cross-cultural environments, I have had a varied career between the USA and the Gulf. My passion is people development and I have excelled in roles which have this at their core. I have worked as a facilitator and educator and specialize in working with marginalized groups such as those in the criminal justice system; migrants; vulnerable youth and the neuro-diverse. I have experience of managing foreign student intake and on-boarding them to their new environment in a supportive way. I hold a Bachelors in English Literature from Queens College, NYC and a Masters of Science in TESOL from Touro College, NYC and have developed and delivered workshops in study skills for college; creative writing and life skills. I have trained debating teams and traveled with the teams to Ivy League Competitions as an adjudicator. I have recently trained as a Life, Wellness and Education Coach with LeadershipWorks - an approved coach training school by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). This program was delivered online over a four month period with in-depth learning and skills development on active listening; goal-setting; curious questioning; empathy and feedback. I am continuing my coaching studies and journey to ICF credentialing with a further mentoring program over five months.

I have an enterprising spirit and ran a food truck style business on a seasonal basis specializing in Puerto Rican delicacies. I speak English and Spanish fluently. I am open to challenges with a growth mindset and recently took up amateur dramatics with a starring role in a local musical production. I am an avid traveler with adventures in the Middle East; Europe and Africa.
