About me:

My first job was at 13 as a busser, at a restaurant called Catherine’s. My work ethic and scholastic dedication have always been my 1st priority. I realized even as the youngest, my family was going to need me in the future. When you grow up in a difficult environment there are only two ways you can go. Forward towards a better life, or stay put and hope for luck to replace hard work. I knew school was my journey forward. I learned reading at the age of 3 and I excelled greatly in Mathematics. Constantly I was placed in more advanced classrooms. I was the first to go to a University in 3 Generations of my family, I paid for every SAT Prep course, SAT exam, College application fees, dorm supplies, and textbooks. I arrived and began at the call center for East Stroudsburg Alumni Donations. When I transferred to Holy Family and needed financial help while learning, I began as a tutor for Chemistry, Accounting, Algebra, and other areas II excelled in. All while maintaining a high GPA and Perfect Attendance record. I have worked, managed, and trained in many different atmospheres. Each job has taught me valuable workplace skills, along with a fierce fight for a College education has all made me a valuable asset in many areas of Employment. That said I believe I can handle many positions and prove my worth to those Superior and above me authoritatively speaking. Whether it be in Customer service, Data Entry, Educational positions, Management (including priority trainer), or Administrative reception work. There has never been a more loyal employee than myself. I am more than willing to relocate in a career that will help me advance not only financially, but expand in Opportunities!

Continuing to tutor and keep professional parental relationships along with updated weekly progress reports

Note taking and paying close attention to help all students reach and realize their highest potential

■ Special Education

● Inclusive Autistic support: Snyder Middle School

Had 8 specific 7th and 8th grade students who were diagnosed with Autism and found to be higher on the spectrum.

Learning how to support those students whose emotional and behavioral depth was not the same as their peers

When in the 5 inclusive classes, it was imperative to support their emotional, and behavioral needs as much as their educational needs. I was also virtually assisting 2 students at the same time. This was during COVID-19’s school attendance restrictions.

● Life Skills: Bensalem High School, one of the most eye-opening experiences in my career

Extended school year (ESY), a summer program for students with severe disabilities

In one class I had 14 kids, myself and one learning support paraprofessional and a nurse.

The kids varied in grades 7th-9th, but their education levels were those of most K-5th. It varied depending on the subject, but Life Skills was a specific course for those who need knowledge to get from day to day when they would be in the real world

Math: Counting change, Buying groceries, daily ways we use math needed in real life situations

Reading/Writing: We read different pieces and then answered questions to see who was comprehending the work. They also practiced writing things you would find on an ID or needed in an emergency situation. Full name, address, age, birthdate, emergency contacts, etc.

Lastly, every day we would go over something important that we do daily, but do not realize. A few examples were needed because of the age group (deodorant use, respectful clothing and sitting in dresses and skirts, respectful words versus non-respectful with peers, and adults of any kind).

What to do when facing an emergency, calling 911, what is an emergency that needs a professional response, life skills was the course name, but it expanded to help them learn comprehension reading skills, Mathematics that would be in their upcoming classes, and we touched on science or social studies every other day.

● Interventionist Specialist: Rush Elementary School for those extremely struggling with emotional, behavioral, and mainly educational needs. During this difficult time of what was considered to be the beginning of the pandemic major restrictions were lifted

Assigned 5 classes of grades (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th) a total of 152 students

Developed trusting and professional relationships with all my students to learn how COVID affected them in various ways

Tested each student to place them where they were with Reading, Writing, and Mathematics

My job description basically was to fill in the gaps for those who were in a 5th grade classroom but writing, reading, and speech were those of say a 2nd grader. I was hired primarily for Mathematics, but ended up doing beyond more

All my students of focus had or needed IEPs, many ELL students, and I was to report daily my evaluations and ideas on moving forward and improving what was highly necessary, especially for those who would be moving to middle school the next year. I found the older kids to be much more behind than my younger students.

I would love to be a part of a district’s financial configuration, I already have plenty of ideas that wouldn’t need much budgetary help, all financial percentages would decrease and affect the school’s ratings

(college graduates, college attendees, school attendance, grades, test scores). In all positive ways. I learned a lot being on the other side of a district where I was once a student for 18 years of my life. Administrative Receptionist
