Picking Duties

Use hand held scanner (tS90), obtain order cart, fill bins with customer order cards, sync scanner and scan customer order cards. Walk through warehouse scanning items purchased and scan them to the correct order bin. Once orders are completed, any incomplete orders must be logged into a separate system to be completed when items become available.

Confirming station

Remove bins from scanned bins from completed carts, all items must be verified and corrected if incomplete. Customer orders are then scanned and processed for correct postage (i.e size, weight, location, and box size).

Packing station

Confirm orders are complete and correct. Confirm correct shipping labels are used for weight and location. Ensure correct shipping box size is used and correct packing materials are used for safe delivery. Transferring all packaged items to pallets for shipment. Once pallets are competed, wrapping pallets securely with clear wrapping. Use pallet jack to safely load completed pallets onto shipping truck.

Use first phone to view orders received and prioritize for shipment or staging. Items to be picked up in the store must be accurately picked, scanned, and staged with the customer’s name and order number on a printed scan tag. Special order items must be scanned, inspected for damage, tagged, and staged for customer pick up. Deliveries must be picked, scanned, and properly assembled for the specific type of transportation pick up. Flat truck deliveries must be banded, palletized, and wrapped to ensure items stay secure for travel on the freeway. Once a delivery is read for transport I am responsible for all paperwork that documents the transaction as well as making sure the managers on duty are involved for security procedures.
