Pacific Harbor Line, Inc. (PHL) provides rail transportation, maintenance, and dispatching services to both Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles, which together form top intermodal gateways in the United States.

1.Provided leadership, management, and guidance for Pacific Harbor Line (PHL) Transportation, Maintenance of Way, Locomotive, Dispatching, and Signal Departments and/or contractors.

2.Directed efforts between PHL, Union Pacific, and BNSF railroads, Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles, state, and federal government agencies in planning, coordinating, and finishing infrastructure projects.

3.Provided leadership to our engineering and signal contractors by locating problem areas and strategizing to get them properly repaired.

4.Planned and executed recovery plans for service interruptions, tactically deploying locomotives, train crews, engineering forces, and other resources to restore fluidity within the L.A. and Long Beach Ports.

Superintendent, Chicago Transportation Coordination Office; 2003 – 2017

BELT RAILWAY COMPANY OF CHICAGO - Chicago, IL (2011 – 2017)

The Belt Railway is the largest intermediate switching terminal railroad in the United States, employing approximately 450 people. The Belt has 28 miles of mainline route with more than 300 miles of switching tracks, allowing it to interchange with every railroad serving the Chicago rail hub.

1.Provided leadership, management, and guidance for Chicago Transportation Coordination Office (CTCO), a consortium of Chicago freight and passenger railroads represented by 10 superintendents.

2.Managed the office’s annual budget in excess of $1,900,000.00, (not including the budget for the CREATE project).

3.Directed efforts between Belt Railway of Chicago, CTCO, partner freight and passenger railroads, as well as state and federal government agencies in planning, coordinating, and finishing infrastructure projects completed under Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE), a $3.8 billion initiative aimed at increasing efficiency of the region's passenger and freight rail infrastructure.

4.Partnered with Chicago railroad command/control centers to effectively communicate and optimize daily operations of eight freight rail carriers, operating 14 different carrier corridors, comprising Chicago Terminal.
