100% responsible for creating new ZEPS (Lock out - Tag out) as equipment is upgraded or replaced with new. Also responsible for training hourly folks on ZEP procedures. Also responsible for zepping equipment on daily basis for routine maintenance. Responsible for building outage zep sheets, hanging every ZEP lock, then de-energizing the paper machine for maintenance work for whole paper machine on 6 week down or long scheduled maintenance day.

Responsible for creating purchase requisitions, paying monthly invoices, etc... associated with the Paper Machines daily operations.

Position also requires good troubleshooting skills. Both from a runability stand point as well as a maintenance standpoint to ensure the most run time possible for the machine. This includes trouble shooting quality issues with the sheet, fabric care (Dryer & wet Felts & WIres) guiding, tensioning, and basic care during its life on the PM. From a quality point of view we troubleshoot refining issues, drying issues, etc and address issues with profiles across the Machine as well.

Responsible for scheduling and running meetings to ensure success such as, Daily planning and scheduling maintenance meetings 2 times per week and our Monthly outage planning meeting 1 time per week. Also schedule meetings with outside personel for maintenance issues needing addressed or vendors who can supply us with our materials, chemicals, etc...

Was responsible for entire Paper Machines felt and wire inventory and maintaining correct amount of spares for each position until June of 2010.

Hired in as extra crew to mill in August of 1996 on 10 Paper Machine. Worked thru line of progression and worked up to the position of 4th Hand on the Winder of the Paper Machine. Was also a skilled Backtender on the Machine as well and could move into that position as needed. To Date, there are times I would fill in for any position on the Paper Machine as a Operator from dry end to wet end. in 2007 I ended my hourly employment, accepting a shift supervisors position & went to the salary side.

Verified production orders prior to starting set-up. Operated forklift to place finished products on skids and transport to warehouse.

Monitored and observed production line to watch for pile-ups and jams.

Prepared machine for production processes by equipping with required tools and parts.
