Director, University Talent Engagement Partner

Served as University Talent’s executive point of contact with business leadership, HR and Finance business partners to drive University Talent strategies throughout 27 tech and non-tech business functions globally (i.e. U.S., India, Singapore & Ireland) representing over 13,000 employees.

Interfaced with over 50 global HR and Finance executives to establish a global 2-5 year university talent strategy and workforce plan, on average 750 per year, based on business models tracking attrition, promotion and business growth needs.

Educated business executives on the strategic value of interns and New College Grads to the business such as seeding diverse talent, armed with the latest technologies, energetic, for interns tried and tested. Gained yearly commitments of 250 interns with a 60% conversion rate.

Key Accomplishments:

-Revamped a highly dysfunctional workforce planning process by leading a project team to develop a new WFP template, central repository, timeline and training for 27 lines of business resulting in a completed campus workforce plan six months earlier allowing Recruiter to plan and execute their campus strategies at over 40 universities

-Managed test development of Visa’s HackerRank software engineering test (40+ in all) used to test all technical NCG and intern candidates globally to ensure that only the top 30% of software engineering talent would be interviewed

-Created and rolled out “Campus 101” training to all finance and HR Business Partners globally to educate them on campus timelines, market competitiveness, key universities to ensure alignment between the business and the university recruiting planning cycle

Shanghai Disney Resort HR Projects Manager

Manage all major HR projects associated with over 350+ expatriates and 300+ Business Trippers, and

hundreds of Consultants working on the Shanghai Disney Resort (SHDR) in partnership with Global

Mobility, Recruitment, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, Compensation and the local

Shanghai HR teams

Led all HR related projects associated with Disney expats/business trippers located in China and those located stateside in building the $3 billion dollar Shanghai Disney Resort Park.

Highly knowledgeable of People’s Republic of China (PRC) employment laws, immigration (visas), and housing options and associated challenges.

Responsible for partnering with domestic (Glendale based) and local (Shanghai based) Recruitment teams to identify and recruit over 600 executive and professional talent to construct SHDR including the temporary transition of external employees into Walt Disney Imagineering.

Key Accomplishments:

-In partnership with Global Mobility, successfully relocated 350+ expats and their families, 300 business trippers, and hundreds of consultants

-Achieved 98% success rate in securing appropriate PRC visas for all employees

-In response to expats concerns to China’s air quality, in collaboration with ISOS and WDP&R’s medical experts, I initiated a health a communication plan inclusive of talking points and FAQ’s which addressed negative health and environmental factors and ways to mitigate them leading to more productive and healthy workforce

-Created an “Emergency Response” system for five employee populations (i.e. Expats, Business Trippers, ect.) for medical, personal, security and other circumstances emergency situations significantly reducing risk

Shanghai Disney Resort Recruitment Project Lead 10/10 - 09/12

Managed all recruitment efforts and hiring strategies for over 600 executive and professional employees

(145disciplines) to build the newest $3.5 billion Shanghai Disney Resort in China.

Consultative partner to business executives, approximately 15 VP/SVP’s for both Walt Disney Imagineering and WDP&R Operations, to determine needs, develop sourcing strategies and evaluate alternative hiring options to reduce labor expenses and maintain project schedules.

Managed three junior and senior recruiters tasked with hiring technical and creative disciplines.

Responsible, in partnership with Global Mobility, to solicit and achieve dozens of complex visas to and from the US and China and other parts of the world.

-Led team to hire over 245 project professional and executive employees

-Increased diversity hiring by 40% by globally sourcing candidates with theme park and/or entertainment experience with multiple international firms; worked on international assignments and/or been born or educated

abroad leading to achieving resort diversity goals
