Design Verification Test Engineer

Worked closely with test developers to qualify and deploy test cases for new SAS projects. Provided technical feedback to test developers to fix or improve the test cases. Performed firmware validation testing; worked closely with firmware developers to resolve reported issues; validated product requirements and specifications. Evaluated and qualified the SAS device test system and software suite; assisted the vendor with integrating the test system hardware and software; validated and qualify software updates. Collected, documented and analyzed test data; performed failure analysis on test failures; managed the bug tracking system issues to closure. Created and executed test plans to qualify new external storage devices, software and firmware. Qualified and validated WD backup software suites, mobile software applications and utilities. Worked closely with product manager and engineering teams to resolve reported test issues and field qualification failures. Qualified and released production tools, WD legacy software, 3rd party software applications and firmware update tools. Worked cross department to validate language translations, new product web-page and in-app billing features. Provided technical support to customer service team, vendors and field qualification test sites.
