WORK EXPERIENCE
Pacific Gas & Electric, CNG/LNG (compressed/ liquefied natural gas) Station Engineer Summer 2015
Developed customized mapping plans, using Microsoft PowerPoint, of every CNG station companywide for daily and emergency use, greatly reducing the time needed to locate and mitigate failures
Reengineered the departments consumable parts tracking system using Microsoft Excel and trained employees on its usage; decreasing department cost from ordering excess materials and increasing efficiency of dispatched parts
Created work procedures for vital field engineering tasks, thereby standardizing these processes throughout the department
Physically monitored the maintenance and supplies of all CNG stations throughout a 70,300 ft2 area, which consolidated station information and facilitated a lean process
Trained on how to identify and avoid onsite hazards including but not limited to CNG and LNG
Worked with field technicians to improve dissemination of information between the office and the field, which also facilitated a lean process
Pacific Gas & Electric, Gas Operations Engineer Summer 2014
Trained on how to identify and prevent safety hazards in all aspects of the work environment and acquired an overall mindset of safety first in any situation
Implemented project management skills by monitoring the construction, replacement, and repair of pipeline systems
Increased the efficiency of the department by revising and improving the functionality of a company standard as well as reducing redundancy in performed tasks
Pioneered a program for categorizing the failure modes of all Gas Operation Distribution assets, allowing for more accurate risk analysis to be performed
Learned to develop algorithms for assessing the risk magnitudes of various assets to foresee issues
Acquired skills to effectively communicate ideas and implement goals from the office to the field, increasing the communication between the two groups
Helped the company comply with the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration regulations by assisting with timely report filing, saving the company thousands in potential fines
Obtained knowledge on identifying risks and performing risk mitigation in order to prevent failures
Gained experience working with an interdisciplinary team of engineers and construction workers on multiple projects, advancing cross-functional team building skills PUBLICATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS
