Quality Assurance Supervisor

TiNi Aerospace - San Rafael, CA - 2012 to Present

Responsibilities

• Responsible for effectively maintaining the Quality Management System in accordance with AS9100C requirements in a fast paced and highly demanding environment.

• Manage three inspectors performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections on materials, parts, and assemblies.

• Manage and monitor all Non-Conforming Material Reports from initiation to completion, including root cause analysis and assigning corrective actions.

• Review customer purchase orders for all quality clauses and additional requirements, a majority of which are from industry giants with strict quality and manufacturing requirements.

• Review, update, approve and release any documents or processes pertaining to the Quality Management System.

• Perform scheduled internal audits and on-site Sub-Contractor audits.

• Create “End Item Data Packages” which include a signed Certificate of Conformance, acceptance test data sheets, and any other customer required documents.

• Prepare and present a Bi-weekly Quality Management System Report to management. Quality Assurance Manager

U.S. Navy Aviation Electrician and Quality Assurance - 1999 to 2012 Quality Assurance Manager

• Responsible for the overall quality and safety of 123 personnel in performing maintenance on FA-18 (A-G) aircraft.

• Effectively monitored and audited 36 individual programs resulting in 34 programs being rated as on track during the latest Maintenance Program Assessment.

• Responsible for audits and inspections on Maintenance actions and programs, parts, safety equipment and procedures with the use of computer based software and paper filing.

• Trained employee's on proper procedures and day to day aspects of Quality Assurance.

• Maintained and organized certifications and other documents to support maintenance actions and documentation.

• Attended daily meetings with Maintenance/Production Control to discuss and review Maintenance Action Plans and Material Readiness.

• Performed FOD trend analysis and foreign object damage investigations on aircraft.

• Monitored and inspected calibrated equipment and calibration program.

• Held and maintained a Top Secret Security Clearance. Aviation Electrician Technician,

• Performed scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on the electrical/instrument, inertial navigation, ordnance systems and electronic flight control systems on FA-18 aircraft using such skills as wire repair and soldering techniques.

• Including, recent in-rate training of 15 personnel, the qualifications of three Plane Captains and seven Final Checkers.

• My expert troubleshooting ability saved countless launches, and were instrumental in the unit's support of 12 Fleet Readiness Command

detachments with 3,256 mishap free flight hours and a 98 percent scheduled flight completion rate. Deployed on the USS John C. Stennis, in 2007, 2009, and 2011, as an aviation electrician. On last deployment:

• Responsible for six electrical technicians in the completion of scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on power distribution, navigation, instruments, fuel quantity, weapon systems and flight control systems for 10 FA-18C aircraft.

• Expert knowledge of the FA-18C electrical systems to ensure the expeditious repair of the commands aircraft ensuring the highest equipment readiness possible in support of operations New Dawn and Enduring Freedom.

• My efforts led to the completion of over 40 complex and highly technical maintenance discrepancies. EDUCATION
