Responsible for three major dispensing machines and a single-arm sorting robot, which include: an optical-filling dispenser with 1,024 canister dispensers distributed over 16 cabinets; 768-channel Knapp A-Frame prescription drug dispensers, with two 64-channel static dispenser sections and two 320-channel four double-deck sections, where each section is dispensed by a single traveling ejector; and a 31-channel automated carousel dispensing unit; The sorting robot is a single-arm robot that sorts vials to their respective orders.

Responsible for an automated packaging machine includes a bag dispenser, an envelope dispenser, the sealing mechanism, a single arm literature dispensing robot, four literature printers, and a four-point blow-off sorting conveyor.

Major part of my role is to find ways to improve on production efficiency and maximize productivity. Others include: Pinpoint trouble spots in the system and make necessary repairs and preventive measures; Repair, modify, or replace problem components.

Have worked on projects, such as: Designing, programming, installing, and implementing three Inview marquee signs, which were triggered by the main control panel; Re-designed and re-routed the original conveyor configuration to help and improve on production flow; Relocated the automated carousel to where it can be more productive; In addition to the carousel being relocated, conveyor queuing had to be provided. Provide engineering support for other new project implementations; also provide support in daily pharmacy operations.

Project Electrical Engineer

Worked with project engineering teams that design, develop, build, and program control systems for a safe and efficient handling and conveying of baggage at airports all over North America. This includes systems with automatic sorting and explosive detection systems, which are integrated to the airport’s ticketing and security systems.

Lead Project Engineer on a multimillion-dollar conveyor system for the International Airport in Seattle-Tacoma, Washington.

Other work included programming panels for the airport in Kansas City, Missouri; performed database software analysis and programmed system software for the airport in Detroit, Michigan; and provided the parts list for the motor control panel in the airport at Anchorage, Alaska. Worked on graphics design for fault monitoring systems.
