Driver Training:
Take responsibility for the practical, theoretical and road training requirements of the fleet’s driver, and ensure that their performance is continually improved.
Duties herewith include:
Identify and train drivers to effectively reduce the fleet’s consumption, and improve their driving scores Plan - Implementations of appropriate, quality training for each relevant Fleet of drivers by means of on road assessments, (in-cab coaching and theory), planned job observations and classroom/ theory training. Assist with the development of Safe Operating Procedures and Planned Job Observations, and reinforce these through training intervention when required
Reduce the number of incidents and accidents by training drivers in defensive driving techniques and promoting safety awareness. To capture and file all relevant data related to training activities by maintaining 100% up-to-date training files for all drivers and operational/logistics crew members/ staffs.
To compile and submit training/ related reports within a given timeframe and make suggestions on further training needs where applicable on to Operational Supervisor/Manager.
To maintain positive working relationship and good communication with Operations team through regular participation on site/ sharing feedback – training reports on weekly/ monthly bases. To assist with theoretical training, assessment and/ or moderation of both existing and newly recruited drivers Maintain/build a database of drivers that are prescreened, evaluated, assessed by testing (practical) potential drivers for future employment.
