TO: Recruiters and Leaders:
In my career with a global shipping logistics, I have enjoyed solving issues and improving the value propositions for the internal/external customers. Flexibility based on experience has been my strength to plan and implement import and export cargo logistics from the sources to the destinations. A lot of global companies benefited from our top level services at the facilities and 3rd party partners in Pacific Northwest where I have managed. Our successful logistics has been the key factor to satisfy the customers behind sales teams’ face.
I also have managed successful contract and negotiations of 3rd party (truck, rail, warehouse, etc.) outsourcing logistics, and development of terminal/ports facilities over 25 years. I believe that it has been possible by strategic planning, eliminating waste and long term partnership program with the contractors and labors to achieve the ultimate profit of the company and benefiting each other.
During my tenure with the company, I have managed 14-60 direct and over 100 indirect remote offices employees in addition to terminal dock labors that can be anywhere from 60 to over 200 daily. Developing staff has been another part I enjoyed on the job as I get to share the experiences and stories. Excellent relationship with Labor Unions (ILWU, Teamsters, OCU) has been an asset to manage the efficient logistics programs and facilities.
One thing I learned from my career is that: Logistics can be improved by programs and new technology. The main frame, however, still belongs to the human factor with the flexibility.
While I love to share my experience, I am also an enthusiastic and diligent learner of new technologies and concepts. At the current position, we have been using Microsoft-based Inventory System, CRM, Outsourcing and Contract Management, etc. These programs were made and updated with the input from the staff and managers of each of business segments such as myself.
Please find the attached resume for your review and references are available upon request.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
