I have had a very diverse career in a number of different fields. I have worked in the finance industry, worked on, and maintained telecommunications equipment while in the U.S. Army, and most recently as a proud union laborer. In addition to performing laborer duties I performed a number of safety functions for the last 3 years. I have been trained as a competent person for fall protection, 30 hour OSHA training, confined space training, and overseer training, I obtained certification as a Certified Safety Person through the Construction Advancement Foundation. Specifically pertaining to safety I was responsible for training company employees in regards to Exxon Mobil’s safety program, called LPS, or, Loss Prevention System, a unique behavoir based safety system. Additionally I trained company employees on the proper use and wear of fall protection equipment. Further I completed permits for jobs, completed JHA’s/JSA’s for specific tasks, and jobs, conducted safety walk downs, and safety audits. When necessary corrective actions and positive coaching were employed. I have also performed incident investigations in order to identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. W as a Series 7 licensed Registered Representative. Also was a licensed Life & Health insurance agent. Marketed, sold, and managed financial products for over 500 clients. Maintained, operated, and repaired satellite communications equipment for the U.S. Army. Received two commendations for repairing highly sensitive communications equipment and bringing it back into service. Possessed a top secret military clearance.
