Financial Analyst/Grant Manager

I am interested in applying for positions in the area of Finance and Contract and Grants Management.

It is my objective to continue my career in financial/ grant management. I have over 26 years of work experience in higher educational institutions. This longevity has given me the opportunities to manage the day-to day operations of a research lab, managed all fiscal operations and all administrative aspect of a department. I have managed the pre and post award of contracts and grants, responsible for all aspects of faculty and staff payroll, staffing and budgetary oversight, skilled at identifying employee strengths and areas of development and putting action/development plans successfully in place. I also completed a six months internship with the City of Alameda as an Administrative Analyst within the City Manager’s Office. . I have proven leadership skills.

For ten years, I have worked in a complex environment (City and County of San Francisco, combined with SFGH and UCSF entities), UCSF-SFGH Dean’s Office as Senior Budget Analyst, handling the affiliation agreement for the City and County of San Francisco. Working with an annual budget of >=$98 million have had the opportunity to learn new systems of financial control, apply the financial knowledge of the UC financial systems and serve as control point for all UCSF accounting matters..

My strengths are; the ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast paced, deadline driven environment; utilize sound judgment as well as being a loyal, conscientious individual with ethics and personal integrity. I am well versed in working with and developing excellent rapport with diverse levels of staff and professionals, clients and peers. I enjoy working with detailed matters with demonstrated experience in exercising independent analytical and practical judgment, problem solver with excellent interpersonal skills, and I strive to provide a level of service that supports the mission of the organization.
