Researched specific border settlement treaties to add to the dataset, as well as specific cases used in the published paper.

Manipulated, graphed, and made tables from the dataset on R and excel, thus applying what I learned in my statistics classes to my area of interest.

“Threat from Abroad, Conflict Within: Border Settlement and Civil War Onset”. Presented at the annual Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities Symposium, Athens, GA. 30 and 31 March 2015.

Produced original research under the mentorship of Dr. Andrew Owsiak on the potential connection between border settlement and occurrence of civil war.

Used qualitative methods to select a case (Algerian Civil War 1992-1998) and test my hypothesis (border settlement and the elimination of salient external threat lead to increased probability of civil war). LEADERSHIP AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Served as instructor and mentor for an Introduction to Honors course, which contains 14 students and meets once per week for the duration of fall semester.
