EXPERIENCE

Lawyer for 3 years before becoming a Judge by public selection.

State of Pernambuco Circuit Civil Judge. Brazil.

From 1994/2014.

Twenty two Years of experience in the legal field. Including Civil procedure, Court hearing and Contracts, Consumers and business law.

Strong management skills, as an administrator for the court, having almost twenty employees under direct supervision.

Participated in international exchange programs, as a professional, student and as a Judge at University of Georgia, University of London, School of Advanced Studies and University of Florida, including two-year of LLM program at UF Levin College of Law, while conducting a research.

Administrative skills. During four years, Conducted and supervised the annual budget for 200 Courts as an assistant oversight judge of State of Pernambuco, Recife. Brazil.

Visiting Research Scholar at Levin College of Law – UF, January 2008. Selected by a Committee at the University, under Professor Stuart Cohn, International affairs Director, coordination.

Center for Governmental Responsibility also known as CGR, worked with Professor McLendon and Dean John Mills in a Law and Policy in Latin America project. The program also included presentations for JD students about Brazilian Legal System.

Worked as a Research Assistant for the Annual 2014 Latin American Business Environment Report, with collaboration to the UF’s CGR, under Prof. McLendon supervision. The data is an UF official document, and will be used as a source for Public Institutions and Private Entities.

For the last past year, 2015 and the year of 2016, I’ve been working as an International Liaison and consulting in Legal Corporate International Law. Travelling 12 times between Brazil and USA.

COMPUTER & LANGUAGE SKILS

Expert user of Windows and Mac Operation System, including multiple software packages, such as Microsoft Office.

Currently Enrolled at the Mediation Clinic to become a County Mediator, certified by the Florida Supreme Court.

Fluent in Portuguese as native language. Academic English and Spanish - writing and translation.
