Successfully created non-modal print forms for One Source, which was originally designed as a strictly modal program with its own proprietary framework as a layer on top of .NET. Creating non-modal print forms was a popular customer request for years before I created them.

9/2006 – 11/2015 SQData Corp. www.sqdata.com Roswell, GA & Dallas, TX

GUI and Database Software Engineer (Worked full-time at home 2007-2015)

Software solutions company based in Dallas Texas specializing in large scale data transfers and Change Data Capture on a variety of Legacy, IMS, and relational Database systems.

My Responsibilities:

Development of Windows application software for internal and client use in Visual Basic.NET.

Engineer a Web-based replacement for the Windows application software to run on Apache.

Build my own development and test environments, servers, and network (Win XP, 7 & 10).

Assist coworkers and clients with projects related to our contracts.

Accomplishments:

Developed 120,000+ line VB.NET application (Design Studio) to use as a Database toolbox and Script generator for our internal script language that ran our backend server software product.

Last three years: Engineered and Developed Web version of Design Studio to run on Apache Server. Web version is written in: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, dHTMLx(set of JavaScript visual controls), JSON, XML, jQuery, AJAX, PHP utilizing MySQL and Apache Server.

Built and updated Database used by my Design Studio application on MS Access, MS SQL server, Oracle and DB2, as well as building each of these database servers from scratch.

Did analysis to decipher the MS SQL server encrypted log file. I developed a program to pull apart and decode the Transaction log so I could decipher all of the transactions processed by the server from only the log. My analysis allowed our backend programmer to write a log-based changed data capture service to read all transactions thus not interfering with DB performance.

Created different compile-time versions of Design Studio for a third party vendor using all of their logos and graphics, so It would install as if it were their own product.

Migrated the Design Studio from .NET 2.0 through .NET 4.0 and from Visual Studio.NET 2003 through VS.NET 2005, 2008, 2010.

Migrated to a new version of the Metadata tables used by Design Studio and maintained usability for both versions for 2+years so that older Client Projects could be maintained.

Integrated LaSalle AddFlow diagramming into the Visual Basic.NET forms so that projects can be built as wire diagrams as well as standard drag and drop. This gives a more visual and easier way to understand complex mapping procedures within Design Studio.

Installed and configured new full-featured phone system in Atlanta Office. (now shutdown)
