Identified the capacity of the vehicle structure to absorb crash energy in frontal crash using FMVSS 208 and compared the results with NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) requirements.

Compared the severity of crash for full frontal, 40% offset impact with rigid wall and pole adhering to IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) standards.

Calculated the HIC, CSI, Pelvic and other related parameters to dummy and compared them to values specified in FMVSS 208 guidelines.

Used composite materials for structural reinforcements and observed the difference in crumple zone, intrusion due to replacement by composite materials.

Simulated impact of pickup Truck with stationary SUV at 300 to vehicle axis.

Determined overall vehicle deformations, barrier force and structural deformation force and analyzed the available crush space and intrusion into occupant space.

Conducted Quasi-static roof crush simulation based on FMVSS 216 test procedure.

Compared Strength-to-Weight ratio (SWR) of the FE model to test data.

Checked the maximum intrusion due to roof crush was below the maximum specified by FMVSS 216 guidelines.

Observed mesh and element type sensitivity of the model in ABAQUS 2D under thermal loading conditions.

Recorded the decrease in the fatigue life of the uncleaned model as compared to cleaned flip chip packages.

Modeled an automobile compressor bracket in CATIA V5R20 according to its dimensions.

Performed Topology Optimization on the bracket using HYPERMESH and HYPERWORKS INSPIRE.

Laminate code for Composite laminate design of a Wind turbine blade Sep 2015 - Dec 2015

Developed a hybrid laminate with carbon and glass fiber lamina which would resist high axial loading and edgewise bending moment on a wind blade.

Designed a composite laminate that would not fail at the actual design wind load of 10 m/s.

Developed a Graphic User Interface in MATLAB to analyze the composite laminate for various materials and orientation of the composite laminas.

Verified the design using Tsai Hill criterion to check for failure in each ply of the laminate.

Performance analysis of a window air conditioner Aug 2013 - May 2014

Designed a model of window air conditioner by matching the different components to each other.

Built a test rig of a window air conditioner and recorded temperature of the refrigerant at different points in the refrigerant cycle.

Recorded temperature of the refrigerant at different points in the refrigerant cycle.

Plotted the refrigerant cycle and calculate the cooling effects for different dryness fractions of air.
