Summary of Experience:
Good and long exposure to the chemical manufacturing industry on plant management and process engineering, in various plants, viz, fertilizer, petrochemicals, basic chemicals, oil drilling chemicals, oleo- chemical, and phosphates. Led three(3) initial plant start-ups, Overall Team Leader in 2. Spent a year each in project development and purchasing. Project development involved international trips to visit plants in China, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Participated in ISO 9000 certification of 2 Companies. Familiar with most industry codes such as API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, TEMA, NEMA, etc. Trained on Total Maintenance Management and Engineering in Sweden, Total Productive Maintenance in Japan and in Taiwan and on trouble-shooting (Kepner-Tregoe’s). Achievements Summary:
Instituted PM program at Novastar, stabilized Boiler operation and reduced overhead costs consi- derably.
Started-up in record 30 days’ time a 300MTPD Monsanto H2SO4 Plant. Restarted up a 1.3TPH Coconut Fatty Alcohol Sulfation Plant. Halved its 6-month Manufacturing Overhead to US$0.35M and increased annual revenues from US$0.3M to US$8M within a year’s time.
De-bottlenecked a 48MTPD Chevron Alkylbenzene Plant to 80MTPD. Handled design, engineering and construction.
Successfully operated a Copper Leaching Pilot Plant from Calcine, waste roasted pyrite cinders, from a 600MTPD Dorr-Oliver H2SO4 Plant.
Spearheaded plant innovations/additions like KOH Recovery from spent KF, HF Acid Tar Treater, Alkylation Topping Still Feed Preheater, conversion to flanged-type the header of the Cu-Ni HF Regenerator Overhead Condenser, etc.
Supervised erection of 3 units atmospheric vertical Carbon Steel storage tanks of 10,000 bbls capacity
Formulated 3 detergent products launched successfully in the market EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
