Sterling Medical Corporation - contract position on Randolph Air Force Base, TX - Randolph AFB, TX - October 2014 to December 2015

Responsibilities

Utilized my clinical assessment skills to identify Active Duty Air Force Family Member dependents who may have chronic medical, mental health or educational needs, to determine whether or not they meet criteria for enrollment into Exceptional Family Member Program. Provided emotional support, active listening and community resources. Integrally involved in the Family Member Relocation clearance process to ensure that these families have gone through the proper enrollment process and travel screening for those members requesting government sponsored travel for their dependents and to ensure that their needs can be met at the next duty station. Provide clinic orientation and training to other staff members. Maintain medical record documentation for each encounter. Provide counseling for those Active Duty members when travel has been denied due to nonavailability of services at their gaining base and present options for them. Conduct informational briefings to Active Duty members who are new to the base or those who have received orders to report to a new duty station so that they are aware of the requirements needed to be completed prior to their receiving their orders.
