Major Responsibilities
To interact with the sector/departments to have understanding of the program plans and requirements including procurement and distribution. When required, maintain contact with customs and immigration officials, follow-up on preliminary clearance documentations to facilitate timely customs clearance of NFI and equipment.
Provide supervision of Cargo movement including:
Provide efficient and timely transport of cargo and goods
Review and ensure proper use of transport documentation
Coordinate logistics by tracking an ensuring that all items dispatched are all received
Lease closely with procurement warehousing and sectors/departments
Organize loading and offloading of cargo
Provide supervision of goods importation and receiving including:
Familiarize with all customs rules and regulation
Work with procurements to identify a customs clearing agent where necessary
Preparation and monitoring of the pipeline for all expected import cargo at the port of arrival final destinations and sectors
Manage the importation of goods and ensure adequate consignment information is provided to all concerned
Expedite all pending deliveries import and local cargo/commodities
Ensure accuracy of the customs shipment documents including airway bills, bill of lading, certificate of donation, commercial invoice and packing list
Maintain up to date information that is relevant to customs clearing and forwarding
